How To Clay Mask Natural Hair To Revitalize & Moisturize


I love using a clay mask on my hair, but I can't deny the dry feeling after I rinse it out. A natural cleanser that uses a clay powder are a good way of avoiding chemicals, but you still need to maintain your moisture level. Using a clay mask with oils and water hydrates your hair, adds moisture while the clay is cleansing and leaves you with soft hair. The ingredients in the mask work ideal for anyone looking to solve hair problems like taming frizz, add moisture, and banishing tangles to prevent breakage. The ingredients each have their benefits, combining them together makes a powerhouse mix for your trouble hair. The ingredients in the mask not only cleanse your hair, they condition, softens, and bring out the shine and definition of curls in your hair.

What You Will Need:

-A plastic Spoon -1/2 cup of water

-A plastic or glass bowl -One tablespoon of castor oil (where to buy) -One tablespoon of coconut oil (where to buy) - One tablespoon of sweet almond oil (where to buy) -1 1/2 cup of Aztec Secret, Indian Healing Clay (where to buy) - Four tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (unfiltered, with mother) (where to buy)

Directions:

Using your bowl pour in your clay powder first, then add apple cider vinegar and allow the clay and vinegar to react properly for 5 to 10 minutes. Now add your water and mix out all the lumps are gone from the mix. Next, add in your oils and mix until you get watery like consistency but not too watery. In the end, you should have a smooth mix of clay with none or minimal lumps

How To Apply:

Hot oil your hair overnight or using a conditioning cap for 30 minutes. Apply the clay to each section of your hair to ensure your entire head is completely coated. Allow the clay to sit on your hair for about 30 minutes; you can choose to cover your head with a plastic cap to trap heat. Afterward, jump in the shower and allow warm water to run through your hair to soften the clay so it can rinse off. Once about 80% of the clay is cleaned off, you can now use your fingertips to massage your scalp to help the rest of the clay wash off. If your hair feels a little dry, just grab a conditioner and apply it in the shower for about three minutes to add a little moisture. After rinsing the conditioner out do a final rinse with one part apple cider vinegar and two part water future help your hair.
