Baking Soda Homemade Exfoliating Body scrub for Clean, Smooth Skin


Exfoliating your skin is a critical step in any skin care regime you have to keep dirt, grime, and dead skin cells of the body. Purchasing a store-bought exfoliants contains harsh chemicals along with some other ingredients that are not too well known. Baking soda is a multifunctional product that can be used for just about every area in your life. It has been used over the years and as continue to benefit in cleaning, baking goods, and now you can use it for your skin to helps it stay healthy. Baking soda is alkaline; it contributes to soften your skin after use each uses to leave you with cleaner looking skin after your shower. It is a natural, gentle way to exfoliate the skin for just a few dollars a month. The simple process of using baking soda to exfoliate the skin is close to the des incrustation in esthetics, giving your skin a natural, exfoliating cleanse. Any exfoliating treatment that you used on your body can be used about two to three times a week, try not to use it every day to avoid drying out the skin. If your skin stays hydrated after each use you can try using it on a more regular basis as part of your shower. Just remember to watch your skin whenever you are trying out new products, or even your DIY recipes for any harmful reactions. The great idea is to use your body scrub to take a shower before bed and watch your skin. If you do have any problem leaving your skin free of any products to recover overnight. The small grains in baking soda are just the right size to give your skin that gentle exfoliant it needs to stay clear. All it takes is a few ingredients and mixing it all together, store away in your shower for daily use, so let's make a body scrub!

Ingredients: 2 tbsp. of Sea Salt (Where to Buy) 1 tbsp. of Castile Soap (Where to Buy) 2 cups of Baking Soda 1/2 cup of Purified Water Four drops of Orange Essential Oil (Where to Buy) Four drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil (Where to Buy)

Using your scrub is simple, to avoid any dirt in your mix use a plastic spoon to scoop out about 1/2 cup of baking soda and add it to a small bowl and set it in the shower. After you get in the shower, wet your body and face with warm water to help open up your pores. Start by massaging a small amount of the mix on your face, avoiding the eye areas, gently exfoliate for about 2 minutes. Now rub the scrub all over your body using a gentle circular motion until your entire body has been washed. You can use a small bath towel to go over your body again to give it n extra scrub if you feel that you need the extra dead skin and dirt removal. Now rinse your face and body with warm water until all the granulation of your face and body has been cleaned away. Immediately after that, rinse with cool water to help tone skin and close your pores.

Now finish off by using your favorite moisturizer on your skin to keep it hydrated. Feel free to use your favorite essential oils in the mix. If you are pregnant, it’s best to avoid this step or consult your physician first for a professional opinion.
